If the boiler pressure drops repeatedly, there may be a leak in the heating circuit or a fault elsewhere in the system. The absence of a visible drip does not establish which. We help investigate concealed heating pipework when the symptoms and earlier checks point in that direction.
Signs worth noting
- Frequent need to top up the heating system
- Pressure falling again after a heating visit
- No visible leak around accessible radiators
What happens next
Note the pressure when the system is cool and how quickly it falls. Share any assessment of the boiler or expansion vessel. Appropriate testing can help identify whether the heating circuit needs further tracing.
Before you contact us
Have the boiler make, system history and previous engineer findings ready. Follow the appliance manual and do not remove covers or work on internal components yourself.
From the findings to the fix
We use appropriate methods to locate a confirmed heating pipe leak, then explain access and repair. Appliance faults may need a qualified heating engineer. An accurate starting diagnosis avoids unnecessary opening of floors or walls.
For residential work, the £1,195 total includes investigation, access, the plumbing repair, parts and materials, testing and a report. The £100 booking deposit is deducted from the total. Commercial instructions are quoted separately.
Decorative and remedial reinstatement after access is excluded. The repair workmanship comes with a 12-month warranty. We explain the job before the appointment is confirmed.

Your questions, answered.
Should I keep topping up the boiler?
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and arrange professional assessment for repeated pressure loss. Do not keep increasing pressure without understanding why it is dropping.
How does the £100 deposit work?
First, contact us about the leak. Once the job and appointment are confirmed, we send you a payment link for a £100 booking deposit. This is deducted from £1,195, leaving £1,095. Sending an enquiry does not take a payment or confirm an appointment.
Will you need to lift floors or open walls?
Detection helps narrow down the source before access is made. Some leaks require floors, walls, ceilings or external surfaces to be opened so the pipe can be repaired. We explain what is needed and aim to avoid unnecessary disruption.
Can I claim through my insurance?
We provide a detailed Trace & Access report for you to submit to your insurer. Acceptance and reimbursement depend on your policy, excess, limits and insurer’s decision. Check any approval requirements with your insurer before work begins.
